Senior Process Integration and Pixel Development Engineer LG is developing the next great technology for imaging. We are looking for a dynamic experienced Process Integration Engineer who has worked with image sensors. The main role is based on developing novel pixel architectures and will include process integration and optimization for the best pixel performance, based on multiple potential pixel architectures, defining the best pixel and process integration schemes with our foundry partners, as well as layout of such pixels and accompanying e-test structures.
Principal Duties: • Develop the new pixel process scheme with global level foundry • Define pixel concerns & process issues related to design and the capabilities of our foundry partners • Propose pixel designs and accompanying e-test structures development and analysis. • Control process history & revision for each pixel optimization and finalize the process base line • Report on process issues and concerns related to pixel performance and suggest solutions • Utilize DOE (Design of Experiments) to effectively define splits to improve and optimize the process, testing and data analysis. • Finalize the pixel design rule based on process/device analysis data • Be able to develop the test pattern structure and layout that using virtuoso layout editor • Be able to handle semiconductor parameter analyzer (Agilent, Cascade…) to extract parameters such Vt, Idsat, Ioff, etc. • Analyze the PCM (process control monitor) parameters data statistically, like DoE. • Analyze the Probe data statistically and figure out the improvement plan against the pixel concerns. • Make improvement plans from the simulation verifications working with TCAD engineers
Primary Responsibilities • Pixel process integration • Improve or optimize the process for best pixel performance. • Work with Foundry partners to develop & improve the pixel process • Understand pixel characterization • Suggest new pixel design/concepts and their implementation. • Develop reports of pixel process evaluation from E-test structure data (PCM) and probe data • Define the pixel design rule for each pixel type • Control PDK and feedback updating items to designer • Finalize the process baseline for the best pixel performance to meet the pixel requirement target
Job Requirements • Masters in Electrical Engineering or Physics with 3+ years of experience in CMOS Image Sensors or CCD pixel development • Deep understanding of: o Semiconductor Device Physics (Both theoretical and Practical), CMOS Sensor Process Integration, Pixel Operation, Architectures, Timing, and Bias Conditions • Strong understanding of: o PDK (Design rule SPICE Parameters), Tape-Out procedures, and mask data review, E-test and Probe test data analysis • Knowledge of: o Pixel Design, Layout, Concept Implementation, Verification, Modeling, LVS, etc, CMOS Unit Process Modules • Additional Skills Required: o Control Process Integration with Foundry Partners o Effective Process Split Planning Utilizing DOE o Work with Lab equipment for data extraction o Operation and Failure analyze of E-Test, Probe test, In-line data o Proactive Process Improvement Identification • Ability to: o Develop Test structures and Methodology o Work with Foundry Partners o Define problems and implement DOE for improvement o Understanding of Pixel Characterization o Experience with FSI, and BSI as well as Stacked Image Sensor Technologies o Physically differentiate color - Color Weakness of Color Blindness are not allowed for color imaging sensor development
