Through research programs funded by science and technology R&D organizations within the U.S. Department of Defense, the research and development team in FAST Labs collaborate across the enterprise. On this team, you'll have the opportunity to create and develop advanced RF/cyber capabilities.
The R3 Mission Systems group is looking for a Senior Principle Scientist to lead the execution and direct the cutting-edge capabilities we're looking to provide to the warfighter. This position involves a unique mixture of signal processing, systems integration, software, and mathematics. The Mission Systems directorate works on programs and problems that involve signal processing, mathematics, RF communications, software, object-oriented programming, radar, and EW. Fulfilling the expectations of this role include program execution, business capture, and whitepaper authoring.
This position can be based out of our Merrimack, NH, Burlington, MA, or Lexington, MA locations, though it will require collaboration with staff across our business areas and facilities in the Northeast.
Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Strong experience with modelling tools and software languages such as MATLAB, Python, C++, etc.
Experience with application of systems engineering concepts on R&D projects.
Strong and confident communication/presentation skills.
Experience in capturing new business.
Active Top Secret DoD security clearance.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Experience in being part of a multi-disciplinary project team in research or development.
The ideal candidate will have a a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Math, Physics, Computer Science or similar field with 8+ years of relevant demonstrated technical research or a Doctorate with 6+ years of relevant experience.
Strength in RF, signal processing, mathematics, RF communications, software, object-oriented programming, radar, and/or EW.
