Key aspects of this role:

                As a Senior Premium Auditor, you will be primarily responsible for auditing technical reviews from physical audits and examining records to ensure that calculations of earned premium for risks are accurate. Desirable candidates will be able to effectively:

  • Review results of audits with producers, underwriters, insureds and Premium Audit leadership

  • Serve as initial audit dispute review and work to resolve disputed items

  • Assist in handling and clearing test audit and other bureau inquires

  • Assist the Premium Audit Manager in technical review of audits performed by vendors and by Premium Audit department staff

  • Provide technical advice and training to lower level positions and new employees

  • Lead the work of others, if necessary, by mentoring, prioritizing, delegating and reviewing assignments

  • Perform quality reviews of vendor audits and prepare management reports and other analyses

  • Maintain advanced knowledge of rules and regulations applicable to jurisdictions and ensure correct and consistent application

  • Validate that correct classes are being applied and in accordance with company procedures by reviewing financial records and other relevant materials

  • Collaborate with the Underwriting Solutions department and Accounting staff

  • Execute ad hoc duties and requests as assigned

Skills and assets that we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of Accounting, Finance or other Business related discipline strongly preferred
  • 8 or more years of related premium audit experience
  • Associates in Premium Audit Program (APA) certification preferred
  • Experience in auditing transportation operations, PEO’s and captive programs is a plus
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication talent
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills are crucial for this role
