About the Role/ The Opportunity:

We are looking for an energetic and experienced Senior Payroll Specialist that will function as a lead processor for our US Payroll department. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of end-to-end payroll processing experience, the ability to meet strict time-sensitive deadlines, a strong work ethic, exceptional attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills.

What You’ll Do:

• Process USA and Canada semi-monthly payroll for a combined 550+ employees
• Work with 3rd party vendors to process various benefit funding
• Ensure compliance with DOL and Tax agencies in the payroll arena
• Respond to Human Resources, key stakeholders, and employees to assist in resolving payroll related requests
• Work with Payroll Manager to continue developing, maintaining, and improving payroll processes, employment tax processes, and internal controls to preserve the quality, efficiency and overall effectiveness of all payroll functions while ensuring regulatory compliance.

What You Need to Succeed

• 6+ years of multi-state payroll experience
• Experience with ADP WorkforceNow
• Attention to detail with demonstrated organizational skills and accuracy
• Ability to work collaboratively across different departments
• Exhibits pride of ownership and sets and adheres to uncompromising quality standards for deliverables
• Experience with various Payroll impacting platforms.

Additional Skills That Could Set You Apart:

• CPP certification desired but not required
• Familiarity with general accounting is a plus
• High-tech industry experience is a plus
• Experienced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Experience with Canadian Payroll
