Our global manufacturing client has an immediate need for a Senior Manager, US Payroll Operations located in Greenville, SC.

The Senior Manager role provides the right candidate with an excellent opportunity to implement the US payroll conversion to ADP GlobalView payroll systems and support providing strategic direction; recommending/implementing best practices and business process improvements; and develop training and mentoring payroll department staff. 

 

The ideal candidate will have:

 

  • 10+ years of direct payroll supervisory experience, managing payroll operations/processes or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Managed US Payroll Operations with a minimum of 4,500 employees
  • Experience required - ADP Payroll Systems (GlobalView)
  • Familiarity with SAP HR (Employee Central) & Finance applications (preferred)
  •  Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Information Systems
  • US Citizen or green card
  • Located in Greenville, SC. Our client is willing to relocate the right candidate (relocation assistance provided) 
  • Union payrollexperience is a plus

 

Position Overview:

The Sr. Manager, US Payroll Operations oversees the day-to-day management of payroll operations including ownership of core payrollprocesses and procedures, management of the payroll services team, delivering and monitoring service level commitments, and appropriate delegation of day-to-day work requests.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Oversees the daily functions for the Payroll Specialist positions, which includes work allocation, training, and problem resolution; ensures compliance with federal, state, and local policies and procedures.

  • Manage and maintain strong controls in preparation, review, and distribution of company's payroll
  • Responsible for maintaining procedures and documentation for Payroll Operation. Research and implementing changes to policies and procedures to improve the quality and effectiveness of payroll services.
  • Responsible for the end-to-end Payroll process, including preparation, processing, post-Payroll, and tax filing, in coordination with the outsourced payroll solution provider
  • Ownership of daily payroll issues tracker / ticketing system, including support for HR leaders in resolving payroll issues, irregular payments, employee or vendor inquiries
  • Ensure timely and accurate postings of all payrolls to each general ledger and validate all payroll postings into SAP and non-SAP general ledgers to ensure proper payroll postings
  • Responsible for timely and accurate integration of Payroll for newly acquired businesses

   

Education & Experience Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Information Systems or other related discipline
  • 10+ years of direct payroll supervisory experience, managing payroll operations/processes or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated success in managing a full end-to-end payroll process, HR Data Admin., and U.S. Payroll
  • Experience required - ADP Payroll Systems (GlobalView, Pay Force; PC Payroll for Windows, Reportsmith, ADP Reporting, eTime, iReports, Quickview, iPay, TPiNet) 
  • Familiarity with SAP HR (Employee Central) & Finance applications (preferred)
$120K - $140K
