The Senior Payroll Administrator position is a full-time position in our Kansas City, MO office. This position is responsible for coordinating the semi-monthly payroll process for all 16 locations in 10 states. This position requires a confident and professional individual with excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, superior communication skills, and an ability to interact with every level of employee. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills using ADP software, especially with report-writing. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate full-cycle payroll process and all related functions for all offices, coordinating with Accounting and HR groups to ensure accuracy

Create and maintain payroll guidelines, policies, and procedures

In conjunction with HR, manage payroll and HRIS vendor relationship and configure the system to meet needs

Process and issue employee paychecks and statements of earnings and deductions

Issue and record adjustments to pay related to previous errors and retroactive increases

Ensure data and funds for pay deductions are relayed to third-party vendors and entities as required

Reconcile payroll withholdings to vendor payments

Manage the administration of attorney pay agreements, including communicating with Partners and non-partners regarding compensation

Maintain current knowledge and ensure compliance with all applicable local, state and federal tax as well as wage and hour laws and requirements

Facilitate management and employee understanding of payroll procedures and issues; point of contact for questions and requests from outside parties

Create and maintain system reports for analysis and planning

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

5 -7 years of experience in payroll in a multi-state environment required

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field a plus

Member of APA; CPP preferred

Experience operating and writing reports in ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred

Excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and strong analytical and problem solving skills required

Proficiency with Microsoft Office required, including Word, Outlook, and especially Excel

Salary

$80K - $90K
