Key Responsibilities:

Be a key business partner to the Director of Operational Finance when evaluating plant operational efficiency, utilization and cost reduction initiatives

· Develop, implement and improve standard cost processes globally

· Complete actual versus standard cost analysis related to cost of manufacturing Prepare financial analysis related to manufacturing costs, inventory, capital investment and benchmarking as needed for decision support

· Establish process for raw material, packaging, WIP, and FG items to accurately be reflected in cost of manufacture; creating processes to maintain bill of materials and maintain periodic cost updates globally

· Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, to determine effects on costs.

· Establish standard processes to maintain and analyze overhead absorption associated with Inventory and cost of sales analysis enabling recommendations to improve capacity utilization and reduce cost

· Establish and maintain processes to evaluate capital investment, prioritizing those investments towards strategic intent and economic return Establish and recommend standard productivity measures globally both definitions as well as processes to review in a proactive manner thereby improving cost of manufacture.

· Develop and standardizes manufacturing reports that explain the “why” on variances to standard that lead to recommendations to improve productivity, increase capacity utilization and reduce cost of manufacture

· Lead and manage periodic excess and obsolete inventory review processes where needed.

· Assist in developing and documenting policies and procedures, including system requirements and internal controls.

· Represent Finance/Accounting on teams designed to improve operations, reduce costs, etc.

· Complete adhoc requests and other projects as directed the Director of Operational Finance and VP of Finance

Position Requirements:

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor degree in accounting or finance; CMA and/or CPA certification a plus

· Extensive hands on ERP system experience

· 5+ years of accounting experience; cost accounting preferred

· 3+ years of operational experience, especially with inventory and plant operations

· Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail

· Excellent communication skills and high confidence in stating professional opinions

· Strong grasp of GAAP accounting and general accounting concepts

· Extremely strong Excel skills, especially advanced financial modeling and analytical techniques

· Demonstrated ability to streamline and automate complex processes

Preferences:

· 5+ years of accounting experience; cost accounting preferred
