The Senior Operations Analyst is position is responsible for support ing strategic business activities by analyzing, forecasting and trending warehouse operations and presenting the information to management through reports and summaries.
REGULAR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with both the headquarters management team and the warehouse management team to analyze operations data to determine productivity standards, staffing goals, positioning of product, and processes and procedure efficiencies.
Extr act and/or collect data from multiple internal or external sources. Verify the relevance and correctness of the data. Provide competitive market analyses and detail the company’s performance to identify areas of improvement or growth. Prepare interpretat ive reports including tables, graphs, and summaries derived from the data analysis. Make recommendations based on the analyses.
Evaluate staffing levels in each area of the warehouse based on sales volume, receipts, package count by type, etc. Provide competitive market analyses and detail the company’s performance to identify areas of improvement or growth. Monitor, analyze, and report variances from plan/forecast including benchmark comparisons. Prepare feasibility analysis, business process assessments, gap analysis, cost - benefit analysis, and industry best practice research.
The Senior Operations Analyst must have five yea rs of business a nalysis experience in a similar working environment. Knowledge of warehouse operations is preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Statistics , F inance, Accounting , Economics , or a related field of study is required. MBA or advanced degree is preferred. This individual must be proficient with statistical and analytical software. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Advanced proficiency in Excel is r equired. This position requires travel to the distribution center ( estimated at 5 times per year) or as needed. Physical demands: While performing the duties of the Senior Operations Analyst position , the employee is regularly required to talk and hear . The employee is frequently required to walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is also required to stand, climb or balance, stoop and kneel .
