Armor is seeking a talented and highly motivated individual who possesses both solid technical knowledge and excellent communication skill to fill the Senior .Net Engineer position.

Senior .Net Engineer Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned as required)

  • Collaborates with the engineering team in the development and initiation of new software designs and architectures
  • Reviews and is a key contributor for design and code inspections
  • Develops architecture and design alternatives, including participating in cross-departmental projects
  • Drives research on emerging software development products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts
  • Researches, documents, and implements program requirements and specifications
  • Writes, translates, and codes software programs and applications according to specification as needed
  • Runs and monitors performance tests on new and existing software for the purposes of correcting mistakes, isolating areas of improvement, and general debugging
  • Cultivates and disseminates knowledge of development best practices
  • Gathers statistics, prepare, and write reports on the status of the programming process for discussion with management and / or team members
  • Determines, develops, and maintains guidelines and coding standard documentation
  • Interacts regularly with managers, vendors, and customers to field queries and questions
  • Recommends, schedules, and performs software improvements and upgrades for optimal performance of company products
  • Trains and provides guidance to junior software development staff
  • Provides technical support to team members

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years’ experience in Software Development and Software Architecture
  • Expeience with software development and architecture using C# /.Net
  • BS in Engineering or related, MS a plus
  • Hands on SW development is a requirement
  • Detailed knowledge of waterfall and Agile design methodologies; experience creating design documentation, roadmaps, and coding standards
  • Ability to establish / revise / execute process change to gain engineering efficiency as well as identify opportunities for improvement
  • Must be a team player with the ability to work with all parts of the organization
  • Strong communication skills
  • Problem solving skills and the ability to get the job done
  • Must have interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of the hosting industry a plus
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance (PCI-DSS, HIPAA, etc) a plus

Education And/Or Experience:

  • High school diploma or general equivalence degree (GED)
  • Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree (preferred) in Computer Science or related field
  • 3-5 years of job-related experience
  • Or any combination of the above.
