The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, successful working from home, and have a comprehensive understanding of underwriting Mortgage Loans, including ensuring compliance, Investor and regulatory standards. Candidate shall be proficient at assessing risk, confirming accuracy for approval and determining escalations for exception to the Underwriting Manager.

HIRING PROFILE

Minimum of 5 years Mortgage Underwriting Experience.
3+ years as a DE underwriter is preferred.
Experienced in FHA, VA, FNMA and FHLMC Guidelines.
Encompass Experience Required.
Analyze and review file for completeness, accuracy and that it meets all agency guidelines.
Adept at Fraud Detection techniques.
Proficient with Microsoft Office including: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Professional written and verbal communication skills. Our client has a "pick up the phone" culture for rapid problem-solving.
Ability to maintain pipeline in order to operate within company turn times. (24-72 hours)
Problem-solving and decision-making skills, including communication of rationale behind decisions to the Loan Processor and Loan Officer.
LAPP is preferred, but not required.
DE/SAR and USDA experience preferred.
