Description:Precision Mechanical Engineer responsible for overall layout/packaging of an avionics suite and vehicle systems for a prototype system. Work closely with an associated contractor to ensure platform can successfully meet size and weight constraints, and performance of all subsystems.
Prefer individual with experience regarding hardware design/testing of flight hardware and EO, IR and opto-mechanical design experience a plus. Needs to be clearable with current and active SECRET clearance.
Travel may be required on an as needed basis.

MUST be a U.S. Citizen and have an active Department of Defense Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance.
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university (preferably engineering focused) OR a minimum of 9 years of professional experience in mechanical design without a Bachelor's Degree in addition to the years experience requirement listed below.
Must have at least 5 years of professional experience creating system level 3D CAD models and using them to create drawings.
Must have experience using Pro Engineer CREO.
Knowledge of GD&T.
Experience with all aspects of mechanical design, including layout and design documentation.
Good knowledge of all aspects of Mechanical engineering is essential.
Extensive precision EO, IR, Opto-Mechanical design experience in concept design, detail design, and hardware build and test are highly desirable.
