Job Description:

Collaborate with engineers in designing complex and robust military communication equipment. Create mechanical parts, drawings and assemblies using best practice, value add and design for manufacturing. Work concepts, detail designs and changes to meet product requirements. Utilize industry and department standards designing to MIL-STD-810G test methods. Perform worst case tolerance analysis for complex assemblies. Check designs, drawings and databases for accuracy. Able to meet aggressive schedules commitments/requirements. Skilled in generating and explaining multiple design concepts using existing and new technology that address defined project goals and specifications.


  • AAS in Mechanical Engineering/Technology
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in an industrial design/drafting environment
  • Experience in machined, cast, sheet metal part designs and assemblies
  • Assist in the mechanical design of models, drawings and maintenance
  • Highly motivated person that is able to make sound decisions quickly
  • Contributes as a member of a project team and executes team direction
  • Aware of how designs impact the product line, suppliers and customers
  • Proactive in understanding team goals and execution
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • 3D Mechanical Design experience in Creo
  • Team player
