Job Summary

This position requires advanced federal planning experience of high complexity and variety to lead in the expansion of all aspects of master planning in our Federal business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performs advanced professional work related to the federal planning with the vision to introduce newer technologies and concepts similar to smart cities, planning for disaster recovery, designing for sustainability, etc.
  • Manages complex and sensitive planning studies, development applications, and reviews proposals
  • Assist in marketing and business development related efforts related to existing and new federal clients
  • Monitors and ensures compliance with local, state and federal laws
  • Develops project budgets, administers bidding process, verifies contract expenditures and compliance
  • Conducts research and prepares statistical reports on land use, physical, social & economic issues
  • Knowledge of principles, methodology, practices of research and data collection
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and software programs

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree in Architecture OR Urban Design from an NAAB or a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. Typically a minimum of 11 years related work experience. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AICP Certification preferred
  • Excellent design, visualization and graphic skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for preparing and presenting planning reports and projects
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for facilitating relationships
  • Creative problem-solving skills to gather relevant information to solve less well-defined planning problems
  • Group facilitation skills for use with workshops
  • Ability to work on several projects or issues simultaneously
  • Ability to provide effective supervision and staff management
