The person in this position will participate in projects to support business imperatives and strategic goals within the Operations Manufacturing Strategy group. These projects may be related to network optimization, quality improvements, capacity creation and business continuity. This individual is able to influence, motivate, and direct others in a cross-functional team environment to facilitate adherence to the established project plans. She or he can perform independently with little tactical input from the manager and can accept accountability for the outcome of large projects.

Day in the life:

• Develop and implement robust manufacturing processes through execution of process characterization and validations.
• Capable of making data-driven technical decision through data analysis and use of tools such as Minitab software.
• Develop fixtures and tooling in conjunction with process improvement initiatives.
• Prepare, review, and approve manufacturing instruction, protocols, reports, and other controlled documentation.
• Develop accurate yield and time standards for existing and new processes.
• Provide technical leadership for the projects and the group in support of process and equipment development and custom equipment procurement.
• Provide input to solve complex problems including but not limited to those related to process, equipment, material, supply chain, documentation, equipment validation, IQ/OQ/PQ/PPQ and other applicable QMS / business processes.
• Lead or participate in appropriation of funds for projects through preparation and approval of capital expenditure requests.
• Interface with management to communicate / report progress and receive strategic inputs impacting work streams.
• Develop holistic and detailed plans and roadmaps for project execution. Propose strategies to ensure successful execution of projects.
• May organize and lead multifunctional project teams to ensure timely implementation of the sub-tasks and ultimately the project.
• Provide direction to the cross-functional team members if required.
• Lead or participate in documented vs. actual gap analysis activities.
• Participate in resolution of Non-Conformances and Corrective and Preventive Actions.
• Perform and present capacity analysis for existing and projected scenarios.
• Conceive and propose creative solutions to solve difficult capacity constraints.
• Other tasks assigned by the manager.

Must Have: Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering discipline or related technical field
- 4+ years of relevant experience with Bachelors Degree OR 2+ years of relevant experience with Masters Degree


Nice to Have
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering role.
• A minimum of 2 year of experience in the life science industry.
• Experience in use of statistics and associated tools, preferably Minitab.
• Working knowledge of SolidWorks application.
• Experience in medical device environment a plus
• Statistical methods for data analysis and associated tools, preferably Minitab.
• Working knowledge of SolidWorks application.
• Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to present data in meaningful and relevant fashion to aid in decision making process. Proficient in use of project management tools such as MS Project
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
