This position is responsible for Manufacturing Test Engineering for implantable medical device manufacturing.


  • Support business-critical Manufacturing Test Systems

  • Proactively develop solutions for yield and process improvement
  • Lead a cross-functional teams to define and implement solutions
  • Collaborate with R&D for new test initiatives
  • Work closely with Production to ensure equipment uptime and respond to needs
  • Troubleshoot and repair test equipment using sound engineering principles
  • Create validation and qualification procedures (IQ, OQ, PQ, V&V)
  • Root cause failure analysis
  • Deploy process improvements and new product introductions to manufacturing

  • System / hardware / software integration and testing
  • System regression testing
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and engineering drawings
  • Electronics hardware development / troubleshooting capabilities
  • Use of electrical debug tools (DMM, Oscilloscope, Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer)
  • MES (Manufacturing Execution System)
  • RF testing
  • Software / firmware development
  • Scripting (Perl, Python, Ruby, shell scripting, or similar)
  • Data collection and analysis
  • Risk analysis
  • Requirements definition
  • Validation and verification
  • Statistical analysis (Minitab)
  • Night and weekend coverage occasionally required
  • Ability to travel up to 10%, including internationally


  • B.S. Electrical Engineering or B.S. Computer Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of experience, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years system / hardware / software integration and testing experience
  • 5+ years’ experience developing solutions for yield and process improvement
  • Medical device experience or other highly regulated industry
