The Energy and Utilities Practice at West Monroe helps organizations improve their business operations with advanced tools and solutions and the team is expanding! We are seeking a Senior Manager with experience in leading Transportation Electrification (TE) projects and/or served as a subject matter expert. The Senior Manager, TE, will lead project delivery, managing multiple projects with investor-owned utilities across the United States.
The Senior Manager will have three main responsibilities:
Serve as a key advisor to clients, leading West Monroe’s Energy & Utility Practice’s focus on the expanding transportation electrification market, including advising on best practices, end-to-end value chain from EV program design through to EVSE installation, and strategic value of TE to utilities and their customers.
Work with the West Monroe EV team to create new offerings and refine existing offering for clients surrounding the opportunities associated with TE.
Develop and lead education and training on TE topics across the Energy & Utilities practice as well as other West Monroe practices such as Customer Experience and Technology
Lead delivery of TE-related engagements and/or serve as a subject matter expert. Example client delivery activities include developing TE strategic roadmaps, facilitating workshops with cross-functional teams, supporting TE business cases, supporting the design/execution of utility client TE programs including the customer fleet conversion activities and providing EVSE siting/installation guidance
Apply subject matter expertise within TE to develop creative and practical solutions for our utility clients.
Develop client-ready materials to support business development communications and facilitate the client engagement process.
Lead business development initiatives focused on influencers and buyers at electric utilities within their TE departments and other buying centers
Develop project approaches and proposals and effectively present them to prospects and clients.
Develop TE white papers / thought leadership materials as well as present at industry conferences
Meet and exceed sales targets to generate significant EV-related consulting revenue
Industry experience in the electric transportation sector, with specific expertise in utility programs and fleet electrification strategy and implementation.
Proven history of articulating / advising on the strategic value of electric transportation and related energy topics to c-suite/director audiences,
Minimum of eight years of consulting, utility industry and/or transportation industry experience with at least 3 years of TE experience preferred
Interest in an entrepreneurial opportunity associated with developing and growing existing TE consulting offerings
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, display excellent judgment, and work productively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Excellent oral communication, written communication, and presentation skills.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to travel up to 50%.
Technical or business undergrad degree preferred, master’s degree optional
