Kforce has a client seeking a Senior Manager/Software Engineering in Boca Raton, Florida (FL). Responsibilities include:

  • Provides overall technical leadership to development teams as well as collaborates with architects & the business to ensure solutions are developed with ALM best practices
  • Works with IT Operations in developing a DevOps strategy for the builds & deployment of software solutions including assisting in picking the right tools
  • Vendor management, existing & new
  • Responsible for deliverables including, but not limited to: ALM process, release schedule, product roadmap, prioritized backlog, user stories, product documentation, release budgeting & forecasting, & status reports
  • Ensure processes are well documented & followed
  • Bridges communications between the business & IT teams and takes full ownership of the product development lifecycle in line with Agile principles
  • Works closely with Developers to deliver high-quality solutions in a timely manner
  • Supports applications/solutions in production
  • Defines & maintains the application backlog in TFS according to agreed stakeholder priorities
  • Ensures that applicable Application Support Process policies are followed within the release process
  • Inspects the product progress at the end of every Sprint & has complete authority to accept or reject work done
  • Forecasting & budgeting for releases
  • Provides timely communication to Business stakeholders about any relevant events, escalations, etc.
  • Prepares weekly status reports & documentation related to each active release
  • Conduct task/resource management and allocation throughout the release process in Clarizen
  • Validates submitted timesheets to ensure resource adherence to assigned tasks
  • Works with technical teams to ensure that any roadblocks are properly addressed
  • Evaluates risk (scope, timelines, resources) and escalate to IT management as needed

Requirements

  • Working experience in the traditional Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily scrums, demos, and sprint retrospectives along with the corresponding tools used to manage the process
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile/Scrum framework
