Position Summary:

The Senior Manager, Social Media Marketing, is responsible for developing and executing Conn’s social medial strategy to support key business initiatives, increase brand awareness and equity, and engage and enhance key stakeholder relationships. The ideal candidate for this role is a proven subject matter expert in social media strategy development and tactical campaign execution, with a demonstrated ability to guide and support company reputation, marketing and revenue growth efforts. This role is also responsible for supporting public relations initiatives.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Manager, Social Media Marketing’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and execute Conn’s social medial strategy ensuring alignment with company strategies
  • Develop individualized plans and campaigns to support relevant events, initiatives and platforms that Conn’s supports
  • Partner cross-functionally with all departments to align on social media opportunities
  • Own the social media content calendar, including collecting inputs from cross-functional teams, and partnering with key stakeholders to plan content
  • Own social media agency relationship
  • Manage all social media channels, including publishing content and actively monitoring/ moderating/engaging in conversations
  • Manage paid social media marketing efforts, monitor campaigns and analyze results in order to boost traffic numbers, conversation rate and overall brand revenue
  • Track and report all social media measurements and usage statistics
  • Participate in the development and implementation of strategic Marketing plans to develop and promote content that increases public sentiment and contributes to profitable growth
  • Support Creative team with social media shoots (planning, samples, props, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships and contacts with social media outlets, creating earned media opportunities
  • Support the company’s public relations initiatives
  • Monitor marketing and social medial trends
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Business or other related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in social media marketing, preferably in retail or related industry
  • Exhibits an in-depth understanding of social media landscape, best practices, and platforms including platform features, management, metrics, content requirements, and trends
  • 24/7 social media “listener,” with a constant pulse on relevant conversation topics & trends
  • Experience with creating, curating and managing published content (images, videos and written) to reach targeted customer groups.
  • Strong initiative and self-starting approach, and ability to operate effectively in an organizational climate of rapid growth and change
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills with an attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build relationships
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to apply advanced copy writing and editing skills to content
