About the role

Your mission is to help Zillow Group scale the SEM channel through automation. You’re an expert in managing/optimizing online performance marketing campaigns, building and leading a team, and partnering closely with product and engineering teams to build automation tools. You are an established product leader who’s particularly energized by the complexities of performance marketing, reducing manual work for the team, and looking for new areas to optimize. In this position you will have the opportunity to: 

  • Own and communicate clearly the vision of SEM automation efforts
  • Partner with cross-channel Ad Tech team (Product + Engineering) to build automation, optimization, and scalable tools for paid search
  • Establish a formal test and learn program within performance marketing built around the scientific method
  • Create and manage relationships with internal and external partners (cross functional teams and external teams)
  • Establish standards for team and group reporting and stakeholder management, including consideration of key performance indicators and other supporting metrics to measure digital marketing effectiveness and ROI
  • Participate in development of the strategic roadmap for paid search, advertising technology supporting paid search and testing schedule, while partnering on overall multi-channel strategy
  • Set a high bar and champion excellence within online marketing team and our cross functional partners

Our mission is to drive growth for Zillow through online and mobile marketing. Our growing team is collaborative, data driven, and innovative. We manage digital marketing campaigns across Search, Social, Display, Mobile, etc. for all of Zillow’s business verticals, and we partner with analytics, product and big data to deliver on cutting edge, high performing marketing campaigns.

Who you are 

  • Deep experience building marketing automation products from initial idea to deployment and customer usage
  • 6+ years of work experience in a consumer tech organization as a digital marketing leader, including the strategic management and hands on execution of paid search and otherdigital advertising platforms
  • 3+ years of experience managing teams and priorities across multiple stakeholders with the confidence to lead, manage and engage team members (both direct and indirect reports)
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related technology field preferred. Masters degree is a strong plus
  • Expert in online advertising management and optimization
  • Proven ability to manage external vendors and agency partners
  • Ability to synthesize data and analytics from a wide variety of sources into concise, actionable insights and recommendations
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence decision making across all levels of the organization
  • Strong ability to develop and implement plans while continuously monitoring results and establishing continuous improvement methodologies
  • Innate ability to stay in tune with and take advantage of emerging technology trends and platforms within digital marketing
