Senior Manager, Risk Management ORM

As part of the Operational Risk Challenge and Advisor team your role will be to lead special projects that advance risk management practices, perform analysis on risk information to provide insights, and serve as both an effective challenger and a trusted advisor for the Commercial Banking and Risk Management divisions.

As a Senior Manager in the Operational Risk Challenge and Advisor team your role will require excellent project management, communication and interpersonal skills, superb integrative thinking across the facets of operational risk, and a desire to help the enterprise properly manage operational risk. The Operational Risk Challenge and Advisor team is working across Operational Risk Management (ORM) and the enterprise to transform the way risk information is used to better understand risk profile.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading large complex projects for Operational Risk Management
  • Leading analysis on risk information to gain risk insights
  • Providing challenge to the First Line of Defense’s risk-taking and risk assessments
  • Evaluating new products and initiatives from an operational risk perspective
  • Consulting on initiatives, business objectives, processes, riskevents, controls, and/or monitoring
  • Evaluating the operational risk profile culminating in quarterly Divisional Operational Risk Reporting
  • Influencing executives key operational risks and actions needed
  • As needed, developing ad-hoc analysis, deep dive investigations and driving specific risk initiatives

The ideal candidate will have strong strategic, judgment and integrative thinking skills, deep risk management knowledge, as well as, excellent project management, organizational, communication and influencing skills.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience
  • At least 6 years of experience in Project Management
  • At least 6 years of experience in Risk Management, Compliance, Audit, or Finance
  • At least 6 years' experienceworking withinternal business clients
  • At least 3 years of experience performing business analysis

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in dealing with banking regulations, product development, or control testing
  • At least 3 years of experience building new processes or governance programs
  • At least 3 years of experience with leading cross-functional teams.
