Job Description:

Sungard Availability Services is seeking an established and proven professional to help lead collaborative marketing efforts with our strategic partners.  The Senior Partner Marketing Manager is responsible for executing integrated partner marketing campaigns and programs, designed to drive revenue for Sungard AS through and with our partners for key portfolio areas such as Cloud & Hosting Services, Managed Application Cloud Services, and Recovery & Business Continuity. This includes the prioritization, management and optimization of Sungard AS funds and partner contributions to achieve corporate objectives.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with Sungard Availability Services Global Partner Marketing, outside agencies, and with partner marketing representatives to deliver integrated partner marketing campaigns and programs
  • Serve as a functional subject matter expert for joint marketing tactics; Create and deliver tactical marketing plans in accordance with global strategic marketing plan, which will be provided
  • Represent Partner Marketing as a technical subject matter expert (product marketing level of depth) for joint Sungard AS and partner solutions
  • Measure and analyze performance of messaging effectiveness, content quality, and audience interaction for marketing efforts with partners
  • Analyze and report on ROI metrics and progress against established lead generation and sales pipeline objectives to Sungard AS and partner stakeholders
  • Manage marketing relationships with alliance partner organizations and Sungard AS channel strategy and business development leaders
  • Align joint partner campaigns with internal corporate programs, initiatives, and marketing campaigns
  • Interface internally with Finance, Legal, and Procurement for ongoing reconciliation of Sungard AS alliances marketing budget, partner market development funds (proposals, reimbursements, and claims), and internal legal approvals for campaign materials
  • Support key partner public relations opportunities, customer success stories and joint events to drive marketplace awareness



  • Strong understanding of market and customer buying behavior and segmentation frameworks
  • Domain experience in the area of cloud technologies, application services, data recovery, and managed services a plus
  • Firm understanding of customer needs in the IT services marketplace, experience in developing and supporting content development for multi-phased buyers journey (awareness, consideration, decision, advocacy)
  • Strong vendor- and partner-facing written and verbal communication skills
  • Creative approaches to problem solving, roll-up the sleeves approach to execution, and a sense of humor are critical success factors
  • Project management and cross-functional leadership skills, including incorporation of agencies and internal creative services teams into workstreams
  • Experience in working with geographically-dispersed teams
  • Demonstrated strong performance in prior roles - At least 8years of experience in service provider-focused Product, Solution, Demand Generation, and/or Channel Marketing
  • Bachelor of Science in Business or Marketingrequired; MBA preferred
