ECG, a national management consulting firm working exclusively in the healthcare industry, was named the top provider of value-based care consulting services in a 2021 Best in KLAS report. At ECG, our primary emphasis is on quality—in our people and our services. When you work at ECG, we empower you to be your best. We hire you for your ability, integrity, and education, and then we assign you challenging projects and help you grow professionally.
Since the firm’s founding nearly 50 years ago, ECG has maintained a dedicated division that focuses on the unique issues facing academic medical centers (AMCs). Consultants from ECG’s Academic Healthcare Division partner with AMC boards, CEOs, and executive teams to address and solve highly complex issues spanning healthcare delivery, medical education, and research. The AMCs are under enormous pressure to concurrently lead healthcare while becoming more nimble, cost efficient, and patient-centric and developing world class programs. ECG is at the forefront of designing and implementing long-term strategies to address these challenges.
Our Academic Healthcare Division is organized into two overlapping practice areas: academic health system (AHS) planning and medical education and research. Client demand for services offered in both practice areas continues to rise, resulting in an immediate need for senior-level consultants to join the AHS planning team to work with health system CEOs and boards in areas such as partnerships/affiliations, mergers/acquisitions with community providers, service line development, faculty practice integration, financial arrangements and funds flow, and AMC organizational redesign (between and among the medical school, adult and children’s teaching hospitals, and affiliated medical groups).
A senior manager or associate principal position at ECG is a significant leadership position within the firm and a stepping stone to the role of principal and an opportunity to own equity in the firm.
