Allegro MicroSystems is seeking a Senior Manager of General Accounting, you will be responsible for a wide variety of general accounting responsibilities reporting directly to the Corporate Controller
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Management and Supervision of Accounts Payable and Payroll teams
- Accurately processing and auditing bi-weekly payroll
- Interpret and Implement multi-jurisdictional tax and payroll law changes
- Reconciling payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
- Partner with Human Resources on all matters involving employee’s compensation, benefits and disability payments. Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits, including 401(k) contributions and funding.
- Prepare, process or review payroll for equity transactions including ESPP, RSU’s, PSU’s
- Ensure the accuracy of payroll, including but not limited to; base pay, bonuses, stock compensation, commissions, payroll taxes, employee changes, new hires, 401K, medical, H.S.A. and other deductions.
- Manage, review, and approve team’s month end closing processes, including preparing and posting journal entries and related account analysis.
- Prepares and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, comparing results and providing commentary
- Prepares comparative and variance analytical schedules
- Reviews and reports and results against key performance indicators
- Aid in the design of, and ensure adherence to, appropriate internal controls (SOX)
- Prepare the appropriate account reconciliations on a monthly basis
- Provide support for external Audits and Quarterly review procedures
- Evaluate and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
- Champions efficiency and continuous improvement of financial system through implementations and enhancements
- Working directly with the FP&A group to collaborate on budget assumptions and forecasts
Education & Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in Finance/Accounting (3-5yrs in a manager capacity)
- Strong ERP and Payroll systems background (Oracle/SAP, Workday, ADP, etc.)
- A demonstrated history of increasing levels of responsibility
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA a plus
- CPA or similar professional certification preferred
- Managing payroll processes in a public company setting required
