The Operations Strategy team resides in the Operational Services Group at Charles Schwab and is responsible for executing a wide range of strategic activities that drive transformation. The Organizational Readiness team within Operations Strategy drives people transformation through meaningful career and employee experiences that equip and empower Operational Services to deliver for our clients. The Operations Strategy team resides in the Operational Services Group at Charles Schwab and is responsible for executing a wide range of strategic activities that drive transformation. The Organizational Readiness team within Operations Strategy drives people transformation through meaningful career and employee experiences that equip and empower Operational Services to deliver for our clients. Examples of the group's activities include:
- Develop frameworks for various initiatives that drive operational efficiency and leadership readiness (scale and automation initiatives, people development, etc.)
- Provide thought partnership to our Operational Services business leaders on a range of topics
- Create executive level read outs to facilitate decision making and support ongoing business needs (townhalls, people leader updates, etc.)
- Create program-level deliverables for large Ops-wide transformation initiatives (strategic change and communications, training, rewards & recognition, etc.)
What you have
- 5 + years owning a communications strategy, proposing and supporting strategic vehicles that enable our people to deliver our long-term transformation goals; able to set clear prioritization of assigned work.
- Helping our employees connect the dots and translating broad business strategy into a compelling narrative.
- Using storytelling to influence positive outcomes, build trust, drive change, connect with audiences at all levels and improve engagement.
- Writing communications that distill complex issues and information into simple, digestible and impactful messages for audiences of diverse roles and levels.
- Being a trusted partner to the senior leadership team in Operational Services and serve in a consultant, subject matter expert capacity to the managers that report to them.
- Previous experience owning a communications strategy, from audience and stakeholder analysis through implementation and tracking success metrics
- Experience developing communications using SharePoint, Confluence, Teams, PowerPoint, Social Chorus, and basic html
- Some graphic design skills are required; video production skills a plus
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, with extensive experience in succinctly synthesizing data and developing recommendations in strong business stories with PowerPoint, and effectively present to executive audiences.
- 5 + years of strong project and program management skills to deliver meaningful results and impact to our employees
- Comfortable engaging with various levels of management and engaging on a wide variety of complex financial and technical topics
- Highly resourceful and collaborative individual who thrives on building and cultivating strong relationships
- Experience dealing with ambiguity in a dynamic and fast-moving work environment; self-starter and highly resourceful, with a 'get things done' with limited direction attitude
- Strong influencing skills; navigates and activates alignment across organizational silos
- Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is a plus
