Purpose of Role:
Under direct supervision of the Director of Smart Automation, the intake and assessment Senior Manager assumes program support responsibility for all aspects of the Smart Automation Program in Canada and the Caribbean (Program Management, assessment, deployment and support teams).
The role will act as a primary liaison with the business unit to identify ideal candidate processes for Smart Automation (Robotics, Machine Learning, etc) across the enterprise, ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed/delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures. Promotes Smart Automation across the Bank and will be the primary point of contact with multiple stakeholders who will be at different stages of their journey with Smart Automation and requiring bespoke interactions.
Accountabilities :
Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge
• Supports the Program Lead in the overall relationship management of the Smart Automation program and key partners in functions and business units for program intake, process assessment, change management, and benefits tracking
• Oversees the Intake & Diagnostic of potential Smart Automation initiatives across the enterprise and owns the framework to identify, evaluate and prioritize candidate initiatives in collaboration with business unit stakeholders
• Lead Smart Automation Intake sessions through workshops, Targeted and functional assessments, collects data, and conducts analysis to assess candidate processes for Smart Automation for the supported business unit or function. Facilitates initial and ongoing conversations with business units and act as relationship manager to the CoE for various business portfolios
• Oversees the Change Management & Communication aspects of the Smart Automation program by providing support and guidance to business units on role reallocation and on realizing productivity gains. (Benefit Realization)
• Collaborate and support Smart Automation partners in development labs, production, and maintenance teams to resolve problems, to implement changes that continuously improve our approach, deployment cycle, playbook and best practices.
• Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions
• Coach team members and help with their development / desired outcomes as required
• Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct
• Builds a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment; communicating vison/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team

• Main point of contact for SmartAutomation Intake to 8+ business lines executives enterprise wide

Education and Experience:
• 5+ years of experience working in Financial/Technology Services Industry
• Excellent analytical capability, interpersonal, communication, presentation and facilitation skills, ability to lead diverse personality types
• Excellent knowledge of automation technologies, Agile development principles and passionate proponent of Digital transformation
• Highly resilient and high tolerance for uncertainty and ambiguity
• Bachelor or master’s Degree in Engineering, Information Technology or related fields
• Working knowledge of Robotics, Machine Learning and Lean in financial services
• Technical background (i.e., development, architecture) is an asset
