The Integrated Media practice at Weber Shandwick Chicago has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate, Influence to join our team. We are looking for a collaboration-minded person with skills in social media influencer relations, content creation and strategic planning in the influencer, paid and earned media space. Additionally, this person will assist in event planning and management and in managing and nourishing client relationships. This role will focus on two of the top clients in the Weber Shandwick Chicago office.

Job description:

  • Develop and execute social media influencer recommendations
  • Serve as the day-to-day client contact during program execution
  • Provide input on influencer relations marketing campaigns and tactics
  • Persuasively pitch influencers, and maintain strong network and one-on-one influencer relationships
  • Develop and manage timelines and weekly action plans to ensure all deadlines on client programs are met
  • Break down and manage detailed tasks with the account team associated with planning and implementing special public relations events and new product launches
  • Proactively monitor social media and influencer space for unique brand opportunities while also developing sense of competitor set and cultural conversations
  • Coordinate with earned media teams to develop newsworthy campaigns


Coordinate with social platform and paid media team to ensure platform and paid strategic thinking is implemented

  • Collaborate with analytics team to measure results and develop campaign recaps
  • Manage team interns and other junior team members
  • Anticipate executional issues specific to assigned programs and proactively offer solutions to senior team leadership
  • Coach more junior team members
  • Interact with senior management and input into tactics and strategies, specifically SVP of Infuence
  • Partner with CX and Project Managers to help manage program and project budgets

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5-6 years of communications experience, preferably in an agency environment
  • Extensive knowledge of current influencer trends, including how modern social platform and paid space operate
  • Strong influencer relations skills and relationships
  • Previous experience with consumer packaged goods and new product launches
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills; verbal and written
  • Strong attention to detail and project management skills
  • At least a Bachelor's degree preferably in communications, journalism, international relations, or a related field
