Key Activities Include: ·

As an Underwriter for the Healthcare Real Estate Team, you are responsible for structuring, closing, and managing Seniors Housing, Skilled Nursing, and Medical Office real estate transactions.  Key activities include market and industry research, financial modeling, and financial analysis, as well as managing documentation for real estate transactions.  You will also be responsible for monitoring a portfolio of healthcare real estate loans.  As a Senior Manager you will also mentor junior associates within the deal team.

  • Works with originations to structure new credits.
  • Evaluates the credit worthiness of new loan applicants by determining their ability to service existing and proposed debt.
  • Understands all aspects of a transaction including its industry, products, competitive position and management.
  • Thoroughly analyzes financial statements and management forecasts.
  • Succinctly discusses financial analysis, risks and mitigants, structuring recommendations and decision justification, in a written credit memorandum.
  • Completes credit packages and decisions credit requests within prescribed timeframes to meet business partner and client expectations.
  • Reviews credit agreements for consistency with approved terms; interacts with Bank counsel and participates in the negotiation of credit documentation.
  • Understands and employs all policies and procedures of the Bank and the Line of Business.
  • Performs and verifies compliance with loan policy, AML, KYC and all other applicable regulatory requirements

Basic Qualifications: · A Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience.  Minimum 5 years of experience within a commercial bank in a credit or loan structuring / underwriting capacity.

Preferred Qualifications: · Relevant commercial real estate or healthcare underwriting experience.  Knowledge in commercial real estate underwriting software including Argus.  A Master’s in Business Administration or a Master’s in Accounting; Formal Credit Training · Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
