Manage the site’s sourcing activities. Drive collaboration across the business unit globally to deliver the total business unit net sourcing savings, payables, terms and low cost region strategies.
Lead and own the process for driving the global SIOP activities and total business unit inventory commitment.
Manage local team in the areas of sourcing, procurement and planning.
Lead the supplier approval process collaborating with engineering, quality assurance and manufacturing.
Develop a Sourcing Annual Operating Plan (AOP) plan that tracks scorecard performance, procurement metrics, detailed sourcing plan, LCR entitlement and inflation.
Identify opportunities and drive Lean replenishmentprocesses with suppliers (i.e. vendor owned and managed inventory, consignment and/or demand pull).
Perform detailed cost analysis to find best cost based on business variables.
Effectively utilize the Total Cost of Ownership model to guide sourcing decisions.
Negotiate and manage legal and commercial contracts including inventory management with appropriate legal review.
Responsible for corporate regulatory compliance and risk management within the site including US Government import/export regulations and associated Company policies.
Identify cost reduction opportunities available by employing techniques of price/cost analysis, negotiations, strategic sourcing and value engineering.
Work cross functionally with other departments such as Engineering, Quality, Production, Sales, Customer Service and Accounting in order to meet objectives
Participate with Corporate and Divisional resources in commodity strategy development and apply the strategy to the supplier selection process.
Improve processes within the end to end supply chain, leveraging new concepts and technologies, to further drive sustainable improvements and make supply chains ready for the future.
Bachelor’s Degree in a Business or Technical Field (MBApreferred)
10+ years of experience in the areas of Supply Chain management, Procurement, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Planning and execution and/or Demand Management.
Direct experienceworking with complex global multi-national manufacturing footprints.
A strong commercial orientation and a proven ability to partner with line managers and operating teams to drive & monitor performance and to develop strategic plans.
Experience helping lead an organization through change is preferred, including direct experience with supply chain transformation activities, operating initiatives and cost control programs that build growth and profitability.
Analytical capability of spotting trends and interpreting data. Looks at data from different angles and asks the right questions to gain additional insights.
A talented communicator with the ability to impact, influence and motivate external and internal stakeholders.
A strong collaborative leadership style with proven ability to drive change across multiple organizational levels, functions, locations, and “dotted lines” into entities to achieve objectives.
