Due to our explosive growth, Talend is hiring a Senior Manager, Global Payroll to help provide payroll strategy and oversight for our global payroll team.

In this role, you’ll be working shoulder-to-shoulder with our local payroll managers with a team that reports directly to our Corporate Financial. You’ll be joining a team that is highly visible and critical to supporting continued growth in one of the fastest growing public (2016 IPO) big data integration/cloud companies.

This role will sit full-time in our Redwood City global headquarters. 


Who are you?

  • years of International and Domestic payroll experience is required
  • Experience managing payroll for Europe and North America are required; experience with Asia and Latin America would be a huge plus
  • years of experience managing and leading a team
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Experience with ADP, and the aptitude to learn new systems
  • Familiar with taxable wages, compliance, and payroll related forms
  • An ability to plan and manage multiple projects as well as strong organizational skills
  • Able to research information and analyze data to arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations, and plans of action
  • Knowledge of SOX requirements, payroll processes, workflow, and practices
  • Experience in payroll issues as it relates to various stock programs
  • Able to prepare reports and represent ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing

What You'll Be Working On

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the global payroll team, while continually looking at ways to standardize, simplify, and improve processes
  • Work with payroll vendors to ensure compliance for US and International entities
  • Supervise and perform quality control reviews for US payroll processes and International payroll processes in multiplecountries
  • Work with HR to ensure benefit deductions are accurate, while being responsible for all withholdings regardless of nature that impact pay results; benefits, taxes consistent with jurisdictions, federal, state, provincial that pertains to each location
  • Ensure all tax deposits and returns and compliance reporting are submitted on a timely basis
  • Communicate with team members fluently and professionally
  • Develop and manage documentation of worldwide payroll policies and procedures
  • Research discrepancies of payroll of any form
  • Assist with employee payroll questions and concerns
  • Handle inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable state and federal wage and hour laws
  • Assist management and employees in the understanding of payroll policy and procedures
