  • Leading two key functions – financial reporting and technical accounting
  • Preparing and reviewing Quarterly and Annual Reports (10-Q and 10-K), including coordination with independent auditors
  • Facilitating preparation of the Proxy and Current Reports (8-K)
  • Assisting with implementation efforts on new accounting standards (e.g., leases and credit losses)
  • Researching and documenting key technical accounting matters
  • Understanding changes in GAAP and direction of future standard setting, as well as potential impacts
  • Reviewing or preparing documentation to support financial reporting
  • Owning financial reporting processes for internal control purposes
  • Performing accounting aspects of special projects (e.g., acquisitions/divestitures, restructuring, convertible debt and discontinued operations)
  • Serving as liaison with external auditors on technical accounting and financial reporting matters
  • Working in a cross-functional manner with Controllership, Tax, FP&A, Investor Relations, Treasury, Legal and Shared Services to ensure the integrity of financial information, resolve accounting issues and provide financial/accounting advice
  • Managing one direct report
  • Reporting to the Corporate Controller
  • Education/Skills/Experience: 

    • Minimum of 6 years of experience with recent public accounting client service (Big 4 preferred)
    • Bachelor’s degree and CPA required
    • Experience with financial reporting matters, including XBRL
    • Strong understanding of US GAAP and exposure to complex technical accounting issues
    • Proficient at researching and writing technical accounting memos and experienced with preparation of financial statements
    • Good judgment, problem identification and problem solving ability
    • Excellent time management skills, including ability to re-prioritize as needed and meet deadlines
    • Systems knowledge (Hyperion and Workiva) helpful
