The Senior Manager, Finance, Corporate Support Functions will assist in the development and execution of the global finance strategy aligned with the NSF mission, values and strategy. The Senior Manager will provide support in the planning, implementation, management, and control of all financial-related activities for the corporate support functions. The Senior Manager will manage and coordinate accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis for the corporate support functions to ensure financial goals are established and executed. The Senior Manager is a key part of the finance leadership team.
Principal Accountabilities, included but not limited to:
Supports the development and implementation of the NSF financial strategy for the corporate support functions (Business Development, HR, IT, Marketing, Legal, Continuous Improvement and Strategy/Innovation). Partners with senior leaders to ensure financial goals are established and executed.
Conducts financial analysis and counsel for the corporate support functions, training business leaders in interpreting financial reports to enable sound business decisions.
Creates and analyzes support functions’ expense statements. Prepares financial budgets, forecasts and reports. Makes recommendations and creates documentation for financial controls. Provides insight regarding financial information systems planning and ensures adherence to established specifications. Develops reporting of consistent metrics across the functions.
Develops a culture of engaged, high performing, developed and accountable talent to support the organization. Ensures teams are empowered to meet and exceed goals through performance management, leadership development, and business acumen. Attracts and retains the best talent through effective recruiting, coaching and mentoring.
Leads by example by exhibiting the NSF values. Serves as a strong motivator and leader for team members, inspiring talent to achieve higher levels of performance. Maintains positive team-oriented operations that support the NSF positive culture and vision.
Assists with quarterly and yearly sales commission computations, including verification of SalesForce reported sales and tracking of sales reported to actual invoicing in general ledger.
BA/BS in accounting or finance.
Minimum of Five (5) to Eight (8) years of related Finance experience.
Minimum Two (2) to Five (5) years of experience leading a finance function, preferably in a global organization.
Demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships, understand customer needs and deliver customer-centric solutions aligned with the mission and goals.
Demonstrated experience in allocating resources and managing expenses to meet budget.
Experience developing and implementing strategy.
Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams, including selecting and developing talent, building trust, coaching team members and managing performance results in high performing teams.
MBA with a focus in finance strongly preferred
Experience with Oracle Financials and/or Host Analytics.
