The L'Oreal Active Cosmetics Division (ACD) is looking for a passionate, bright and energetic digital candidate to join the eBusiness team arm responsible for eTailer accounts (,,,, for SkinCeuticals, La Roche-Posay, Vichy, Cerave and Dermablend.

The Sr. Account Manager will constantly ensure that the brands have a maximized presence on the digital shelf in order to win market share with professional skincare focused indirect ecommerce accounts. As a talented negotiator, the Account Manager initiatives must respect the specific needs of each account, while ensuring the growth of each brand.

The role requires the ability to strategize and execute the best proactive and reactive digital programs to meet ACD's sell-in and sell-out objectives. This includes accountability for sales, content, customer experience, data driven marketing, SEM, sampling, and category development, while working cross-functionally and executing programs across various digital media platforms to position ACD brands as ecommerce leaders. Candidate must be outgoing, have strong analytical and marketing skills, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and manage internal and external resources to successfully bring projects to life.

Overall Responsibilities

The basic duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

Account Management / Sales Responsibilities

  1. Strategic planning and management:Utilize strategic thinking to solve problems, capitalize on business opportunities and communicate crucial market, trade and competitive information to ACD senior management, proposing potential solutions and actions steps
  2. Achieve annual corporate objectives by developing and executing account-specific business development plans that are aligned with consumer and media support plans set by Marketing, and within corporate guidelines
  3. Grow profitable sales volume and market share in line with corporate guideline
  4. Develop a strong customer rapport and build relationships
  5. Utilize available resources, including Sales and Marketing data, industry and account information, demographic information, etc. to help forecast business and prepare account presentations
  6. Work with senior management to develop merchandising objectives and research current merchandising practices
  7. Ensure visibility and leverage account as media (blog, email, social, programmatic)
  8. Provide efficient and effective management of all assigned budgets
  9. Own the P&L for SkinCeuticals, La Roche-Posay, Vichy, Dermablend & Cerave
  10. Responsible for meeting annual and monthly sales goals, including ownership of budgets and trends
  11. Provide senior management with accurate monthly forecasts that include gross sales, returns and other activity for each assigned customer
  12. Run and analyze relevant reports and present findings and recommendations
  13. Ensure monthly financial updates to reconcile the Gross to Net for each brand/account
  14. Collaborate with cross functional teams to help meet and exceed goals
  15. Execute Daily Account Management
  16. Manage account process that includes planning account business, presenting account business plans, continuous follow-up to ensure brand objective and monitoring and evaluating sales results
  17. Work with account contacts to ensure full alignment on brand strategy, sales goals, and merchandising plan execution
  18. Work with brand marketing teams to ensure strategy is being executed and optimized
  19. Oversee processing of purchase orders and manage related requests
  20. Work closely with Customer Service to ensure all account needs are met
  21. Reconcile tracking, inventory and order cuts and provide updates to accounts
  22. Flag price updates, out of stocks, product discontinuations and proper replacements
  23. Work with Finance and Demand Planning on order forecasting
  24. Promotional Planning & Execution
  25. Responsible for the business driver calendar, best practice collection and communication to accounts
  26. Monitor promotional activity of all relevant online partners and document for ACD placements as well as competitive activity
  27. Maintain promotional planning calendars and coordinate any changes and impact to business and budget to the brands and sales teams
  28. Plan promotions according to business goals and objectives

Overall Marketing Responsibilities

  1. Best-in-class Content Creation
  2. Oversee product set up process and ensure all forms for new launches are complete to meet launch deadlines
  3. Work with brand teams on content creation and optimization, including copy, videos, images, alt images, A+ content, and content creation in photo studio
  4. Oversee SEO optimization of detail pages, brand stores and website updates
  5. Create a completed plan to launch, display, support and promote new products and hero products
  6. Work with brand liaisons in the US and DMI to ensure alignment and that needs are met
  7. Ensure customer needs are being met and optimize strategy according to customer feedback
  8. Category Thought Leadership
  9. Develop and maintain high visibility with major key account buyers, key decision-makers and decision-influencers; leveraging the power of ACD's market position against competitive threats to achieve business opportunities
  10. Maintain ACD's leadership in category management by collaborating with internal brand teams
  11. Manage editorial calendar, content calendar and other requests with marketing and copywriter
  12. Use market research and creative and strategic thinking for category evolution strategies


  • 5+ years in an strategy or analytics-focused role, working on projects that have enabled building strong quantitative skills and business judgment (e.g., management consulting)
  • Ecommerce experience, ideally in the sale of skin care products to the retail, spa, medi-spa, dermatology or plastic surgery markets
  • Requires effective interpersonal, organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Must be well versed in business and trade, drug channel and specialty store channels.
