This role offers a combination of technical accounting and operational accounting duties, as well as the opportunity to work directly with Livongo’s senior leadership team (CFO, COO, VP/CorporateController). It also provides the opportunity for you to mentor and guide junior members of the team, thus enhancing your Finance pedigree. Responsibilities

    • Lead both the technical and the operational side of Livongo’s monthly financial close activities
    • Continuously improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the close processes
    • Evaluate new GAAPreporting requirements and direct implementation of new ASU standards
    • Manage the Netsuite general ledger (GL) and all Finance automation projects, including automation of the consolidation and internal/external reporting GL views
    • Gather, analyze and summarize financial data, resolve issues and manage deadlines
    • Coach and mentor accounting team personnel
    • Review and approve staff work, journal entries and lower-riskbalance sheet reconciliations
    • Prepare and/or review significant, higher-risk journal entries
    • Ensure the quality, accuracy and timeliness of worldwide consolidations and balance sheet reconciliations
    • Assess technical accounting issues for appropriate financial treatment in Livongo financial statements
    • Conduct various financial analyses for the CFO, COO and VP/Corporate Controller
    • Prepare financialreports for monthly review meetings
    • Establish and execute sound internal controls and move the department towards a SOX 404 compliance environment
    • Develop and maintain excellent, collaborative working relationships with external auditors and cross-functional internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Operations, Corporate FP&A, Legal and IT)

Candidate Profile

    • Our successful candidate will have:
    • A CPA license
    • 6-10+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience in a public company
    • 3+ years’ U.S. public accounting auditexperience
    • Mastery of accounting principles and practices (U.S .GAAP), controls, analyses and reconciliation
    • Familiarity with accounting and financialreporting systems
    • Demonstrable experience analyzing and interpreting accounting transactions and financial issues
    • Proven leadership skills, combined with the ability to roll up your sleeves and get things done
    • A customer-service-oriented approach, with the highest standards for integrity and ethics
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to write clear, concise, accurate and polished analyses and presentations
    • Strong project management and organizational skills
    • A self-starter approach, paired with a passion for collaboration and teamwork
    • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and produce under pressure
    • The ability to manage ambiguity and push through business challenges
    • The flexibility and agility to adapt to change and think on your feet
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the desire to contribute to the Livongo culture (no ivory tower candidates need apply)
    • Energy and passion for your work, with a genuine interest in accounting
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
    • A Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
