Job Description:

Position Summary:

Serves as strategic resource in implementing and sustaining the TreeHouse Management Operating Structure (TMOS) in multiple sites. Leverages demonstrated expertise in advanced Continuous Improvement tools/principles to develop and leads programs to drive improvements in key supply chain processes across multiple TreeHouse Foods manufacturing sites. Coaches individual contributors in TMOS implementation and in select advanced Continuous Improvement tools.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Serves as strategic partner with the site and divisional operations/continuous improvement leadership teams and process owners to sustain the TreeHouse Management Operating Structure in multiple sites.
  • Coaches site continuous improvement and leadership personnel in completing analyses to define root cause of gaps in key metrics for the sites and in identifying appropriate actions to close gaps.
  • Serves as a strategic resource with divisional continuous improvement and operations leaders to maintain alignment and compliance with the TreeHouse continuous improvement strategy and division/enterprise initiatives.
  • Supports development of comprehensive programs to support deployment of advanced Continuous Improvement tool(s) or TreeHouse Management Operating Structure deployment across multiple sites.
  • Identifies and prioritizes with supply chain leadership process requirements, improvement opportunities and best practices for multiple sites, ensuring alignment with TreeHouse Management Operating Structure.
  • Models behavior expected of leaders in the TreeHouse Management Operating Structure
  • Oversees project portfolios for implementation/application of advanced Continuous Improvement tools and/or TreeHouse Management Operating Structure in multiple sites. Ensures that action plans are developed and implemented against gaps versus plan, and that barriers to successful project completion are addressed.
  • Coaches/mentors supply chain personnel in completion of analyses that involve the application of advanced continuous improvement principles and practices, such as reviewing the flow of product or information, analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, preparing findings, and developing recommendations and conclusions.
  • Partners with site and divisional supply chain management and process owners to implement new processes or guidelines, determine improvements, identify and track savings, develop reports, and receive approval when required.
  • Acts as coach and mentor to individual contributors within the Continuous Improvement organization
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Strong situational leadership skills to influence at key levels of organization—from plant floor to divisional supply chain leadership.
  • Capable of building strong relationships with Operations leaders in order to effect change.
  • Must have a bias for action and a track record of delivering results
  • Self-starter to lead change and make independent and informed decisions; good delegation skills
  • Personal traits--progressive, adaptable, flexible, high-energy, mature, strong interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical, trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills to assess needs, understanding issues, and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Demonstrated expertise in TreeHouse Management Operating Structure and/or advanced Continuous Improvement tools.
  • Able to design, develop, and deploy improvement strategies that support TreeHouse, divisional, and site strategic objectives.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills to represent site continuous improvement activities.
  • Strong PC skills; Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and other applicable applications such as Microsoft Project, Minitab, etc..
  • Minimum 5 years plant based manufacturing or continuous improvement experience and previous project management experience.
  • Continuous Improvement certification preferred.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree Required – Type: Operations, Engineering, Management or related field.
