Job Description

Role Impact:

The Senior Manager, Change Management will play a key role in ensuring Finance Transformation projects meet and sustain their business objectives by supporting employee adoption of key changes. Reporting to the Finance Transformation Lead, the successful candidate will be responsible for the change management approach and deliverables for finance transformation projects to increase awareness, generate support, and optimize adoption. The role is also responsible for Finance Transformation program communication plan and content. This role partners and collaborates with business and technology leaders to provide practical change management support that enable successful project and program outcomes.

What you will deliver:

  • Deliver against multiple, simultaneous projects, providing expertise and managing the change management workstream, and deliverables, through all project phases
  • Create change management approach and plans for the project(s), ensuring alignment to transformation program schedule, budget, and success metrics
  • Build and execute on change management plans and activities, coordinating efforts across Finance, Operations, Development, Investments, Data & Technology and HR
  • Evaluate the change management risks to project outcomes. Build plans to mitigate risks that present a significant threat to program outcomes
  • Define the case for change for projects, including the benefits for the business and key stakeholders. Ensure messaging aligns with transformation program and other narratives
  • Identify key stakeholders for the project and seek to understand support level and concerns. Develop and deploy tactics to build support and manage anticipated resistance
  • Assess change impact to project stakeholders. Identify the most critical behaviour changes to support adoption. Build and execute actions to enable behaviour changes, including training plans and content
  • Collaborate to build and manage the transformation program communication plan, standards, tools, and repositories. Build detailed project communication plans that create two-way information flow with impacted stakeholders across digital and non-digital channels
  • Develop and deliver project and program change communication content. Lead and support activities and events to build awareness, understanding and commitment to the change
  • Establish metrics and performance-tracking mechanisms (e.g. communication effectiveness, adoption) to assess the effectiveness of change management approach, adjusting approach as needed for optimal change results
  • Monitor and manage timelines/schedule to keep projects on track by prioritizing change related tasks and key activities
  • Coach Finance Analysts to apply program change management standards and produce change support documentation and deliverables where appropriate
  • Participate in project post-implementation reviews and recommend opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with multiple stakeholder groups across the business, technology, external resources and third-party contractors or consultants


What your strengths are:

  • Degree in a related field, including Finance or Business
  • Successful track record and minimum 8 years in supporting large scale, cross functional change initiatives
  • Experience in leading cross-functional partners/indirect reports in team project-based work environment
  • Experience and knowledge of change management and communications principles and methodologies, change-related certification preferred
  • Experience and knowledge of process improvement principles and methodologies (i.e. Six Sigma, LEAN)
  • Acute Finance function acumen and process acumen, CPA preferred

  • Strong stakeholder management skills. Can develop and maintain exceptional working relationships with stakeholder groups across functions and levels
