As a Senior Manager Business Development Leader on our team, you will need to negotiate an ideal valuation, deal structure, or other terms with a target/partner to close the transaction. Although the end terms of negotiation are typically led by our Investment Committee (CEO, CFO, General Counsel and SVP of Corporate Development), the early stages of negotiation are run by you in the role of Senior Manager of Business Development. You will work with executives, management teams, and the Board of Directors. In coordination with our plan for market-driven growth across assigned affiliates and corresponding divisions, you will align development opportunities with the enterprise strategy.
We are looking for a Business Development Leader who is:
Business Development professionals who have succeeded before you have a bit more to their always-be-closing philosophy that encourages an adaptive approach to strategy and execution excellence. Our Business Development Leaders will be empowered to negotiate with an external target while navigating our internal governance processes. They apply their strong analytical capabilities to each opportunity to justify the business case, potential financial returns, strategic fit, and most importantly, understand when to stop pursuing a target/partner when it stops making sense.
To be successful as a Business Development Leader:
Realistically, you will need at least 5 + years of relevant experience in business development with a history of career progression in sales, product marketing, or medical device product operations. It would be great for you to have experience, however, if you have graduated from a strong MBA school and have some internshipexperience, that would be great too. If you have some investment bankingexperience even better.
