Senior Magento Solution Architect at PK Global in Remote

Overview

PK, the Experience Engineering Firm is currently looking for a Sr Magento Solution Architect/Engineer to join our team. This is primarily a lead engineering role with a requirement to provide strong solution architecture expertise and guidance to client and internal teams.

Responsibilities

Analyze, understand and solve problems for both current and future state client needs

Architect and implement forward-thinking solutions to meet client requirements

Oversee and provide technical guidance to a team of developers, reviewing and writing code

Support requirements creation, definition, and understanding amongst all team members

Create solid, clear, and comprehensive technical designs, along with estimating and planning implementations

Collaborate with client and internal team members to support overall delivery

Contribute ideas for making the application better and easier to use

Write clean, modular, robust code to implement requirements with little or no supervision

Work with the QA and Support teams to triage and fix bugs with rapid turnaround

Utilize and support modern deployment practices using CI/CD pipelines and testing

Perform thorough quality analysis of requirements and code before going live

Engage in production deployments and verification

Ability to quickly adjust and support changing priorities per business needs

Identify and escalate risks (deadline, performance, etc)

Research new integration and plug-in capabilities

Work with other team leads (internal and client) to create and refine standardized processes

Reports to PK stakeholders

Qualifications

Exceptional problem-solving skills

Solid communication and analytical skills

6-8+ years of software development experience

5+ years of experience with PHP and Magento

3+ years of experience with Magento 2

Strong experience with most of the following: PHP, JavaScript, MySQL, HTML, CSS, iOS/Android, AWS/Azure, CI/CD, API management frameworks, GIT

Experience in managing multiple assignments and operating as a team lead

Deep understanding of Magento architecture, design, theming, functional enhancements, optimization & integration methods

Ability to develop API integrations between Magento and other platforms (CRM, ERP, Payment, Shipping, Tax, etc)

Knowledge of how to identify and execute performance optimizations

Experience with full lifecycle of software development including use of version control tools, build management, unit testing, issue tracking software (i.e. GitHub, Confluence, JIRA)

Excellent organizational skills, self-administration, attention to detail, multi-tasking, and effective prioritization
