Senior Logistics Analyst at Precise Systems in Patuxent River, MD

We are currently seeking a Senior Logistics Analyst to support our Patuxent River, MD customer. The Senior Logistics Analyst will provide logistics support to the In-service Integrated Product Team.

FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION: Provides guidance and supervision for logistics analysts supporting aircraft, weapon systems, training, or SE programs. Conducts logistics, supportability, reliability, maintainability, and operational analyses and provides recommendations for tailoring, optimizing, and establishing logistics element requirements in support of aircraft, weapon systems, training, or SE programs. Provides recommendations for changes to site support including maintenance planning, phased support, manpower and personnel requirements, initial provisioning and material support, support equipment, training and training devices, technical data packaging, handling, storage and transportation, and facilities. Provides recommendations for the development of Life Cycle Cost (LCC) and Total Ownership Cost (TOC) Management Plans. Provides recommendations for the review and development of Maintenance Plans/Logistics Support Analysis (MP/LSA) records, maintenance tasks and Level of Repair (LOR) Analysis recommendations.

Duties will include but are not limited to the following:

• Prepare and submit monthly AUR Logistics Metrics that tracks key management report areas for the Director-of-Logistics.
• Review annual update to the Tomahawk Stratification and recommendation for retention/disposal based on current and future requirements. Telcon with NAVSUP.
• Prepare/provide annual AUR Transportation cost estimates for WPN Transportation Accounting Code (TAC) NVKA.
• Prepare/provide monthly WPN TAC expenditures via monthly Metrics.
• Review/provide annual update to the Unit Price for Tomahawk 2D COG NALCs.
• Prepare/provide weekly Logistics AUR inventory status for the Captain's Monday staff meetings.
• Plan NAVSUP/IMA support planning for the return of Surface BLK III AURs back to the Depot for Cannibalization ISO Production Contract.
• Plan NAVSUP/IMA support planning for the return of Surface/Submarine BLK III AURs back to the Depot for Demil Prep ISO Depot Contract.
• Plan NAVSUP/IMA support planning for the return of Surface/Submarine BLK IV AURs back to the Depot for recertification.
• Plan NAVSUP/IMA support planning for the shipment of MK14 upgraded mod2 canisters to RMS ISO AUR new production.
• Participate in monthly MSELWG meeting.
• Participate and prepared agenda for monthly AUR inventory telcon.
• Participate in weekly AUR Logistics IPT (Monday) and Depot IPT (Thursday) tele-conferences.
• Participate in the Annual Integrated Logistics Support Management Team (ILSMT) and AUR IPT meetings. Action Item Recorder.
• Prepare and update AUR processes to include AUR Recall, AUR Shipment (Demil), MDD extension and NALC process.
• Prepare and initiate NALCs utilizing the NAVSUP GLS 724/6 Cataloging/Identification/Disposition request form for new TACTOM AUR configurations.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: MA/MS degree

ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTIONS: Bachelor’s Degree plus two (2) years additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a Master’s Degree.

OR

Associate’s Degree plus four (4) years additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a Master’s Degree.

OR

Six (6) years additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a Master’s Degree.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 10 years of experience performing duties described in the functional description, with a minimum of 3 of those years being direct support on shipboard weapons systems.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE: Previous support related to US Navy surface ship or submarine weapons systems.
