Quals: 5 years of relevant Linux System Administration (SLES 11.x or higher, RHEL 6.x or higher, Oracle Enterprise Linux 6.2 or higher)

Version: SuSE, SLES, Red Hat, Oracle Enterprise Linux, Linux on System Z - Latest and previous two major versions - Provide kernel configuration and tuning. - Provide file system management and configuration. - Provide performance tuning, analysis and benchmarking. - Provide support in shell scripting tasks. - Provide support of the communications interfaces between Linux servers and the communications infrastructure (firewalls, routers, etc.), including bonding, static routes, tcpwrappers and iptables/nftables. - Provide knowledge of communication protocols used between IBM equipment, Oracle equipment, Hewlett-Packard equipment, Web servers, various switches and routers, and the Non-Secure Internet Protocol RouterNETwork (NIPRNET). - Provide support in the installation and configuration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux cluster administration, and other cluster technologies such as Veritas. - Provide support in the installation and configuration of shared file systems. - Provide Oracle support in configuring and managing Linux servers to support large databases and applications, to include kernel parameters. - Provide support of virtualization techniques, specifically VMWare/ESX - Maintenance and troubleshooting issues aligned with virtual technologies and the unique architectures involved in the virtual environments. - Support the following Cybersecurity Tasks: o Security scans/remediation/compliance reporting o Vulnerability assessment/monitoring/reporting/tools o Incident response o Audit/inspection support o Directives/orders compliance o Access control - Provide the following Technical Administration tasks: o Install/configure/patch/upgrade assigned systems o System monitoring utilizing enterprise tools o Performance tuning/troubleshooting o Account management o Backup/recovery o Automation/scripting o Storage configuration (manage/allocate growth) o Monitoring (events, logs, system health) o Clustering
