Job Overview
Majesco is seeking a Java Developer responsible for the implementation and maintenance of our Life & Annuity (L&A) Product Line.
· Development of a code / module based on the specifications given
· Design, develops, enhances, debugs and implements software
· Configuration including script changes where required
· Develop technical and user documentation as needed
· Collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders including clients and team members
· Help in developing POCs, as required
Skills / Attributes Required:
· Core Java, SPRING Framework/ SPRING Batch
· Proficiency in DB/SQL
· Hibernate
· Testing Tools
· XML/XSLT
· Queues
· Web services knowledge is must (SOAP, REST)
· Knowledge on HTML 5 and REST API would be helpful
All About You
· Strong core development experience with experience on technology implementations
· Experience working on enterprise implementations leveraging agile and understanding of agile tools and concepts
· Experience with software implementation project(s) in requirement gathering, functional specifications, QA, user acceptance testing, or training
· Understanding of a project life cycle methodology
· Experience in applying change management concepts on a software implementation project
· Ability to work with multiple stakeholders to determine the best solution for a complex problem
· Demonstrated Problem Solving & Decision-Making skills
· Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
· Ability to multitask and successfully function in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
· Previous Insurance domain experience a plus (Life/Health/Group)
· Bachelor’s degree or global equivalent required
