JOB SUMMARY: Phoenix American is looking for a highly motivated Sr. Systems Administrator that brings a passion and enthusiasm for all things IT. Candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision, take ownership of their areas of responsibility and be a self-starter that is curious and excited to take on a challenging position in the IT field. The Systems Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual will assist the IT Manager with technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. They will ensure system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values. You will be joining a fast paced technologically diverse 24X7 IT environment that hosts software solutions in our data centers for the financial services industries. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: At least 7 years' experience in installing, maintaining, administering and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows based systems in a production environment. Expert knowledge of Active Directory and AD related technology including DNS, DHCP and IIS. Expert knowledge and administration experience of MS Exchange server and other email related technology including secure mail. At least 7 years' experience installing, maintaining, administering and troubleshooting Cisco IOS devices including firewalls/ACLs, NAT/PAT, HSRP, VLANS, routing/switching and VPNs. Excellent understanding of TCP/IP stack and layers 1-7 of OSI model including DS3, Ethernet, S/FTP, SMTP, SSL. Working knowledge of BGP. Working knowledge of F5 BIG-IP. Experience in network security and infrastructure planning. Experience installing, configuring and managing VMware vSphere Environments. Experience configuring VMware Distributed Resource Scheduling, High Availability and Fault Tolerance a plus. Experience in deploying and maintaining VoIP systems. Ability to assist with equipment specifications, setup, problem resolution, network support, etc., related to computer hardware and software. Experience with job scheduling and automation software such as Active Batch and BMC a plus.
