Job Description

  • The Information Security Analyst assists in the implementation and maintenance of the Information Security Program. This program protects the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of IT assets, networking resources, and intellectual property throughout the corporate environment. The Security Analyst must be able to effectively identify and mitigate internal and external threats to Albemarle’s information landscape. The Information Security Analyst should have a combination of both technical and business skills and be capable of balancing business demands against technical capabilities, project budgets, and implementation schedules. From a technical perspective, the Security Analyst should be well versed in security technologies including Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Vulnerability Management, Anti-Virus, Web Filtering, and Firewalls / Intrusion Prevent Systems (IPS). Additionally, the ability to evaluate and prioritize new solutions, both technical and procedural, to remediate risks is a core component of the job. From a business standpoint, the Security Analyst should have experience working with leaders and influencers from non-IT groups, be able to understand business problems, align technical solutions to them, and manage projects to implement them.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • 3-5 years of applicable IT Security experience
  • Responsible for the technologies, processes, and service providers that deliver Albemarle’s Information Security program
  • Promote the brand, vision, and message of Information Security within business units and functional groups
  • Develop and support standard operating procedures to simplify and streamline IT processes
  • Be aware of and stay current with emerging threats and security trends
  • Direct experience managing security technologies, specifically in some of the following areas:
    • Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
    • Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
    • Vulnerability Management
    • Anti-Virus
    • Web Filtering
    • Firewalls / Intrusion Prevent Systems (IPS)
  • Proficient English language skills
  • Ability to travel
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Math, Information Systems (or related field) or comparable experience, preferred
