SUMMARY:

The Senior IT Information Security Administrator sets up, configures, and supports IT Systems and Network. Maintains applications, security, and network configurations. Troubleshoots network and systems performance issues. Recommends upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a field. Creates and updates configuration documents and system change controls.  Relies oninstructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works with autonomy to accomplish tasks.

 

The Senior IT Information Security Administrator will manage corporate security and champion best practices. This role is responsible for performing all functions required to support day-to-day data security operations, supporting and maintaining a broad suite of information security infrastructure, accountable for security and networking infrastructure component availability and integrity, monitoring compliance with IT security policy, and coordinating investigation and reporting of security incidents. Participate in the planning, design, installation, and maintenance of security systems in support of security policies. Work with Information Technology staff and business units to assess risk and address security issues.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Based on industry best practice this individual is expected to perform the following always providing the highest level of customer-centric support.
  • Develop and maintain data classification and encryption policies and procedures
  • Manage securityresponsibilities, including firewalls, proxy systems, logging, and other security devices
  • Create and review reports on event anomalies
  • Develop and maintain security policies
  • Raise awareness of security policies and develop corresponding procedures
  • Provide security expertise to the company
  • Facilitate new electronic data interchanges between other financial firms
  • Assist in the enforcement and monitoring of Compliance regulations
  • Investigate and respond to security violations
  • Designs and conducts training for corporate security education and awareness programs
  • Defines security requirements and reviews systems to determine if they have been designed to comply with established security standards. Develop new standards as necessary
  • Analyze business needs, researches and recommends solutions
  • Establish and manage relations with vendors and related equipment suppliers
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein
  • Monitoring and Alerting platforms
  • Cloud services and infrastructures
  • Effectively repair and or troubleshoot cause of system failures and errors
  • Maintains documentation of the computer system and components of the supported systems.
  • Must understand and demonstrate compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements
  • Escalate problems reported or found to IT Director, Application Administrators or Developers
  • Responsible for supporting a positive, professional, team-oriented, harassment-free work environment by understanding and complying with the Employee Handbook and Safety Policy/Manual and all Human

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

May perform additional duties as assigned or directed by management from time to time

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Master’s degree or higher, in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
  • At least 5 years of comparable work experience
  • CISSP certification is preferred
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Strong time management and planning skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills work well with others
  • Close attention to details, ability to troubleshoot and maintain accurate records
  • Able to achieve complex tasks using own judgment
  • In-depth understanding of computer science disciplines
  • Coordination of vendor support for system upgrades and implementation
  • Ability to routinely achieve a high standard
  • Familiarity with SEC regulations as they pertain to the financial industry.
  • Understanding of risks in financial services.
