Summary:  As a Senior Internal Auditor for Parkview Health, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and experience, as well as learn about the entire Parkview Health system, through a variety of audit assurance activities and consulting projects. You will also have the opportunity to join a risk-based, high caliber Internal Audit Function, covering Financial, Operational, Clinical, Compliance, IT and Strategic reviews. This exciting opportunity is for suitably qualified high performing individuals to enable us to provide insightful, innovative, and forward-thinking ideas to our business partners.     

Education:  Bachelor's Degree

Certification:  Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).

Experience:  Five years of audit experience. Experience in healthcare is desirable.

Concentrates efforts on the more important priorities. Demonstrates attention to detail in applying skills and knowledge.

Demonstrates ability to anticipate the needs of the team and customers being supported. Researches value-added concepts to improve the department using effective judgment Reports as appropriate any questionable or unusual circumstances relating to procedures or practices within the department. Demonstrates resilience and flexibility in the face of obstacles; effectively channels emotions to manage job challenges and stresses; handles disappointment without losing effectiveness.

Internal Audit Knowledge  Demonstrated ability to assess risks, design and implement corrective actions plans, and to monitor business-focused policies, procedures and processes. Demonstrated ability to communicate recommendations to leaders and co-workers at an appropriate level and in a collaborative manner. Ability to perform assigned duties based on the Internal Audit annual risk-based audit plan to test and recommend improvements for Parkview Health departments, programs, vendors and services. Demonstrated ability to document, assess and test systems of internal controls. Extensive experience with GAAP, GAAS, and IIA standards; general accounting and financial reporting. Demonstrated ability to assist the organization in managing risk within acceptable parameters.

Ability to describe compliance and risk analysis to leaders and co-workers in a straightforward and engaging manner. Asks questions in a manner to draw out appropriate and needed information and engage leaders and co-workers in the process to improve Parkview Health operations. Listens to know and understand questions asked and demonstrates a depth of knowledge by the way questions are answered. Is able to present findings in a thorough, comprehensive, clear and concise manner. Provides concise and thorough documentation of reviews, audits and root cause analysis written in a style to be understood by leaders. Also provides them with a high-level map of how to implement process and procedural improvements with input from the area's leadership. Establishes effective relationships with leaders and customers throughout Parkview Health.
