National insurer seeks an experienced Underwriter to join the Excess & Surplus business unit focusing on Umbrella & Excess Liability coverage for Manufacturing, Construction, Energy, Retail, Rail, and similar accounts.
*** Underwrite coverage on an Occurrence, Claims Made, or Occurrence Reported basis.
*** Handle existing portfolio of Excess & Surplus Casualty business.
*** Cultivate and maintain key broker relationships to maintain underwriting appetite.
*** Communicate and assist with implementation of underwriting strategy.
*** Meet with insureds and brokers to cross market and sell products.
*** Bachelors degree.
*** 7+ years of Excess & Casualty Underwriting experience.
*** Ability to handle complex accounts across general classes.
