The purpose of the position within Mitel's Clearspan division, is to work with customers to train them on Mitel's database processes and formats, to collect data from the customer, to provision the database, and implement a telecommunications solution tailored to the customer's needs. The position will be responsible for data gathering, configuration, technical assessments and business process definition to determine the best technical solution to meet the customer’s requirements.  

Responsibilities:  

  • Conduct database gathering workshops with the customer to determine application configurations for features and functions based on the customer's requirements
  • Provide consultation for system configuration
  • Provide general database implementation, including, setup and running database scripts
  • Manipulating and formatting data - primarily using Microsoft Excel
  • Prepare and provide administrator and end user training
  • Remotely configure and troubleshoot customer premise equipment and applications   (Mitel and Polycom phones, AudioCodes gateways, Broadsoft applications - call center agent, receptionist, soft phones, etc.)
  • Provide client-based feedback to engineering staff and Product Managers regarding features and functionality
  • Provide post cutover help desk support
  • Strong time management, problem solving, prioritization and planning skills
  • Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and demanding environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S. or B.A.) in Computer Science or equivalent field from an accredited college or Technical School. May substitute equivalent combination of education and experience in addition to minimum experience requirement
  • Five (5) or More Years’ Experience in telecommunication industry
  • Five (5) or More Years’ Experience in a customer facing role
  • Six (6) or More Months Experience with PBX or VoIP provisioning / product installation
  • Six (6) or More Months Hands on Experience with IP, PBX, Voice Mail and Call Center Applications
  • Experience with Broadsoft provisioning a plus
  • Thorough knowledge of telecommunications systems and operations
