Maxim is seeking a senior-level Design Engineer to design integrated circuits and support assigned products through the full product life cycle.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Work closely with other cross-functional teams to define, implement, and introduce products to our customers. Teams include business, applications, product definition, product engineering, test, EDA, etc.
Chip lead, technical development responsibility
Block / top level design and verification
Support of applications teams for customer issues
Design flow application and improvement
Verify designs using circuit-level and behavioral-level simulations
Supervise circuit layout to achieve area and power targets
Validate circuit performance in the lab
Provide support to customers as they design your circuit into their end application
Master’s degree or PhD in EE with focus in mixed-signal design
3+ years of relevant industry experience
Strong fundamentals in analog, mixed-signal design
Sound analytical skills
Experience designing in deep sub-micron CMOS
Understanding and utilization of digital signal processing
Familiar with the following tools: Cadence (Spectre, AMS, Virtuoso), Matlab, Labview, common laboratory equipment
Strong technical writing and communication skills
