Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage talent acquisition process from sourcing to recruitment, candidate evaluation, selection recommendations, and employment offer process.
  • Provide counseling, analysis, and expertise on organizational planning, staffing strategy, organizational structure, development, and succession planning to best provide the talent needed to fulfill the business strategies.
  • Partner with leadership team to drive the performance management process (PMP) and oversee PMP administration
  • Pro-actively address employees' questions and issues.
  • Oversee, investigate, and recommend actions to resolve or address employee relations issues.
  • Manage labor relations, contract interpretation, administration, and contract negotiations with local Union.
  • Participate in hearings, mediation, arbitration, or other related sessions.
  • Oversee and administer the grievance process.
  • Provide advice and expertise to management team on labor relations strategy and maintaining a healthy relationship between the Company and the Union.
  • Give support, guidance, and leadership for successful change management in support of lean and other business initiatives.
  • Develop and implement strategies for employee communication, employee engagement, team building, and employee satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement affirmative action plan.
  • Conduct new hire orientation, assist management team and employees with training needs, conduct onsite training and/or promote, oversee and implement training programs.
  • Maintain and administer the rewards and compensation programs.
  • Administer benefits program and leaves of absence (including FMLA, Worker's Compensation).

 

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Human Resource Management or related area.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience working as an HR generalist / HR Business Partner.
  • Labor relations experience including union negotiating and collective bargaining agreements is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner with a history of effectively and strategically working with manufacturing leaders to achieve objectives.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing plant – Lean manufacturing exposure is a plus.
  • Excellent collaboration, coaching, counseling, and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead through changes and improvement initiatives.
