Description
Position Title: Senior HR Business Partner
What We Need:
Cetera Financial Group is seeking a Sr. Human Resources Business Partner to collaborate within our broader Human Resources team, working in support of 200-400 Cetera employees across multiple functional and commercial areas primarily operating from CFG’s Southern California locations, as well as other locations nationally. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day strategic and operational human resources support, and counsel to the leadership of key business units across many or most of the following HR functional areas: talent management, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, employee communications, and talent acquisition. Additionally, this HR Leader will have Enterprise-level program design and management responsibility and need to possess specialized expertise in the areas of Employee Relations, policies, and HR Compliance. Finally, the individual selected for this role will be able to lead other unique Enterprise-level projects and initiatives as may be required, for example, supporting acquisition activity or remote work change management efforts.
As a member of the Human Resources Leadership Team, the Sr. Human Resources Business Partner ensures consistent application of policies and procedures, serving as a liaison and voice of the internal departments/divisions and/or outside organizations. They partner closely with business leaders and employees to provide one point of contact, working with managers and employees on a variety of HR needs.
Ideal candidates will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to expeditiously build relationships, have substantial practical knowledge of HR principles, be driven to be part of a best-in-class HR department, and be comfortable with working on a variety of different HR topics at any given time with competing priorities.
What you will do:
Consult with the business’s leadership and management to facilitate all activities related to the people management strategy. In partnership with legal, use surveys and data to conduct research regarding human resource policies/procedures, compensation, and other employment issues. After analyzing information, make recommendations on changes and implement.
Leverage internal HR partners including Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Internal Communications, HR Systems and Analytics, and Total Rewards on various projects, looping in the appropriate partners for a given situation.
Partner with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to assist in recruiting top talent, making hiring decisions, and crafting employment offers based on market compensation data, ensuring appropriate offers are extended to selected candidates.
Execute and support integrated talent management programs that directly tie to the business strategy and build alignment with departments and business leaders.
Provide coaching and assistance on setting objectives, providing written and verbal feedback, and conducting mid-year and annual performance reviews.
Support managers with team building, talent development, workflow distribution, and employee relations issues
Provide coaching to managers to enhance leadership abilities, relationships among teams/individuals, interpersonal communications, and performance management.
Provide feedback to training team on business needs, HR training modules, and programs, roll out strategies and priorities.
Support the end of year performance management and compensation cycle.
Assist with defining new roles, updating job descriptions, and ensuring roles are aligned with business and market strategy.
Attend manager/leader meetings of business groups.
Ensure the consistent application of HR policies, processes, and systems within the groups he/she supports.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications
What you need to have:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business Admin, or related field.
10 or more years’ experience within Human Resources.
