General Purpose

As a Senior HR Business Analyst, you will apply your strategic and analytical skills to address Talent related decisions across our business. You will be a part of the broader HR Operations team where you will collaborate with other teams to identify synergies while also innovating as needed to solve problems and delve into major Talent Management and Acquisition initiatives, such as:

? Using data to improve returns on recruiting and selection investments with greater quantity and quality of candidates

? Understanding and predicting associate turnover, and working with business leaders to boost retention

? Understanding how culture, learning, and talent management actions shape productivity and performance by using real, hard data about behavior and associate outcomes.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Enablement of HR Analytics: Focus on data accuracy, security and consistency across all WEX geographies. Define and influence the data channels that can help highlight employee engagement and behavior of high performers that will feed into the Analytics platform

Analysis: Identify talent management challenges and opportunities for improvement and solve them using analysis to make strategic and tactical recommendations

Modeling / Forecasting: Perform modeling/analytics that provide senior leaders with insight into the potential impacts of new or existing talent management systems and processes

Automated solution design and ownership: Identify opportunities to make Talent management processes smarter and faster with data and machine automation. Work with leaders to design, develop, test, and implement new products and solutions. This is a small team where you will rapidly generate ideas, develop solutions, and see the benefits you have delivered to our customers.

Execution: Develop and test hypotheses, design solutions, assess operational feasibility, lead implementation efforts, and develop a monitoring plan.

Partnership: Work closely with colleagues across WEX to drive improvement in associate experience and business results.

Strategic & analytic orientation: A proven track record of decision making and problem solving based on analytics. Conceptual thinking skills must be complemented by a strong quantitative orientation

Strong business judgment, leadership and integrity: A confident decision-maker, able to bring a forward-leaning, yet responsible approach to transforming Talent management

Strong communication skills: Impeccable written and oral communication skills, coupled with strategic influencing skills and the ability to drive consensus around complex decisions

Clear results orientation: display an intense focus on understanding what our business partners need and how to most effectively meet their short and long term needs

Culture: Partnering across the organization to understand their needs and share ideas on how they could be thinking about their people with better data insights. Drive a campaign for increased data literacy within HR and across key functions/stakeholders within WEX. Continue to feed and develop a culture towards data-driven decision making (shift from Operational to Strategic)


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and/or 3-5 years’ experience in a comparable analytical role.

Requires significant analytical capabilities. Must have intermediate or better technical skills.

Advanced problem solving skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Advanced presentation skills using any medium.

Ability to develop and prepare business analysis and recommendations.

Self-motivated and ability to work independently.

Excellent time management, organizational, prioritization, and follow through skills. Possess the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Ability to network and build effective and trustful relationships cross-functionally.

Must pass a successful background investigation

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in HR/Talent Analytics

Experience with data visualization tools and methodologies (Tableau, etc…)

Proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g. SQL, Minitab, SAS) preferred.

Experience in report/analysis automation

Experience with Enterprise Level Business intelligence platforms (SAP Business Objects,,etc…)

Experience with Workday a plus
